One of the most important aspects of bringing a character to life is being able to translate the character from text to a visual realization. You could have the worlds next greatest children’s book written but if you have bad character development, it may not go anywhere at all! You will find some people claim that a great story with poor art and character development will still be successful because the writing is more important than the art. Then you will have people say that great art can make a poorly written book successful. I am here to tell you that both cases are wrong. It’s a marriage of both great writing and great art that makes a book sell. The same goes for creating a character for branding whether it is for a logo, business mascot, advertising or anything else that relies on a memorable character. If you have an easily forgettable character that is poorly drawn and developed, then it just isn’t doing its job.
I have had great success in developing characters that are memorable and unique to each client. Even if you have just a vague idea of what you are looking for and need help developing a more fleshed out character, I can help! I will work with you on developing a character even if you just have a few thoughts and ideas on what you would like to see.
